Wilfrid Laurier University Development and Alumni Relations respects your privacy and keeps all personal information strictly confidential.
We store personal information in the Development and Alumni Relations database, on behalf of the university and the Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association. This information is gathered from various sources as a result of interactions and affiliations with the university. For example, we make changes to names and addresses as required, record attendance at events and communications preferences, and document donation history. Other sources of personal information include Registrar's Office student files and Human Resources records.
The university grants access to information in the database only to individuals and partners who need it to carry out their duties on behalf of the university and/or the Alumni Association. Please, know that Laurier does not rent or sell your personal information. Please see our university use of information technology policy for more details.
Also, from time to time, we may pre-populate forms with your name and student ID to make it easier to sign up for events or make a gift to the university. That information is drawn only from information in our Development and Alumni database.
