Student Horizon Fund
The Student Horizon Fund provides financial assistance to students pursuing activities outside the classroom that enhance their educational experience. These activities can include academic competitions, international events or formal participation in conferences. Applicants may apply individually or as a group. Grants will vary, with the maximum of $500 per student to be dispersed annually.
Funding decisions will be made taking into consideration diversity of recipients with respect to campus, graduate or undergraduate student and faculty of study.
• The activities must occur while the student(s) are actively registered at the university
• Activities must not be eligible for academic credit or be required to complete a specific academic program (i.e. Volunteer placement, international placement, thesis work)
• Eligible students must be endorsed by or affiliated with a recognized Students Union Club (i.e. Fashion in Motion), Academic Department (i.e. Graduate Studies) or office (i.e. Diversity & Equity)
The application deadline during the 2015-2016 academic year: November 15, 2015
Applicants will be contacted regarding funding decisions within 3 weeks of the deadline.
