Waterloo Night Market
The first Waterloo Night Market is a Laurier student initiative that aims to bring together local food vendors, live music, and booths for local artisans to display and sell their work. This exciting new initiative of a night market was conceived through design-thinking process in a social entrepreneurship class during the 2017-2018 academic year in response to the needs that were identified through our research. Night Markets exist in many cities in Canada and around the world and are events that enhance a sense of local identity, cultural vibrancy and belonging.
The ultimate goal of the night market is to enhance a sense of community well-being and cohesion within the community. Our goal is to make these markets a reoccurring event throughout the year.
