Planting a Laurier Forest

Planting a Laurier Forest

The countdown is on! Sure, the holidays are coming, but so is the end to Laurier's inaugural HAWKstarter campaign. The Laurier Forest has until December 31, 2016 to raise a minimum of $4,000 to plant trees on Laurier campus or in our community.

Add some green to Laurier’s purple and gold – help spruce up Laurier campuses and communities by donating to help plant up to 125 trees.

The benefit of trees are endless!

They stand tall and true, quietly going about their business creating breathable air, capturing carbon dioxide, providing habitat for animals and shade for humans, filtering ground water, reducing heat island effects, beautifying our landscape, reducing human cortisol levels (aka stress), and all the while bringing us closer to nature. They also tackle adversaries like urban sprawl and infestations like the emerald ash borer.

"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone else planted a tree a long time ago." - Warren Buffet

Join us in planting tress for generations of Golden Hawks to come. Willow you make a donation today and join us in planting over 100 trees in support of a new Laurier Forest (every $40 plants one tree)?

Your donation will make a direct and positive impact in our community – and it may just increase your poplar-ity too!
