As we prepare for graduation, let’s use this opportunity to reflect on our time at Laurier, our accomplishments and our learning experiences.
Convocation is a milestone to celebrate. It is a time to express gratitude for the students, staff and faculty at Laurier who helped us get there. It is a time to think about the future. It is a time to help.
Let us celebrate by investing back into our community. By coming together to show our Laurier spirit and help future Hawks so they can make their graduation day, too.
Students can face tremendous challenges as they make their way through university. Whether it is struggling to cover a monthly rent payment, or not having enough funds for groceries, these are real struggles faced by many students.
We need to play our part to help alleviate such barriers, so every one of us can succeed.
The Student Emergency Fund helps Laurier students who may encounter unexpected financial difficulties. This fund is often the last resort for many of our fellow classmates and friends in need. As the fund is being increasingly used, it often results in students being turned away as there are not enough funds available for everyone.
Let’s do our part and ensure no one is turned away.
As a community, all of us in the Class of 2018 can help hundreds of future Golden Hawks continue their education by making a donation to support the Class of 2018 gift today.
Every dollar donated by the Class of 2018 will go directly to assist Laurier students facing an unforeseen crisis.
