Whether you are a recent graduate navigating life after Laurier or are more experienced and looking for your next opportunity or exploring a career pivot, a full suite of professional services are available to you free of charge.

Appointments

Your unique career needs can be addressed with the professional support of a career consultant. Book an individual appointment to work with a consultant on your job search, career planning, employment preparation (including resumés, cover letters, and interviews) or further education applications. Appointments are available in-person, online, or by email during daytime and some evening hours.

Each year, employers seeking qualified candidates advertise more than 2500 immediate job openings with Laurier’s Career Development Centre. Employers are looking for recent and more experienced alumni to fill a variety of positions in various industries. Browse job postings in Navigator or register for the Alumni Employment Service to receive relevant job postings delivered to your inbox.

Events & Workshops

Career Centre events include employer sessions, job fairs, industry networking sessions and employment preparation workshops. Attend events and workshops to make connections with employers, brush up on your interview skills or explore job opportunities and career paths. Visit Navigator to view the upcoming schedule and mark your calendar for the annual Job Fairs (September/October and February).

Are you in a hiring position? Recruiting Laurier students and alumni is a wonderful way to access great talent and stay connected with Laurier. The Experiential Learning and Career Development team can assist you in hiring for full-time, summer, part-time or co-op roles. ALUMNI EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

The Alumni Employment Service (AES) is a job posting and job notification service offered by the Career Centre to meet the customized job search needs of Laurier alumni. Alumni registered with the service are notified by email of the positions that meet their job search criteria. Alumni can then apply to positions of interest by submitting the requested application material.
